Hailee Steinfeld is shown at a Bills game for the first time as she screams in support of husband Josh Allen in rare display of emotion

Hailee Steinfeld made a rare television appearance at one of Josh Allen’s games, passionately cheering for her husband as the Buffalo Bills battled the Los Angeles Rams in a dramatic Monday Night Football showdown.

Allen and Buffalo faced a stern test against Matthew Stafford, last season’s MVP, and the Rams in a back-and-forth contest that ultimately required overtime in Los Angeles.

As the game entered its decisive stages, Allen engineered a crucial fourth-quarter drive, moving the Bills downfield and putting them in front.

Viewers watching on ABC and ESPN were then treated to an unusual sight: Steinfeld leaping to her feet in an executive suite, clapping and appearing to shout, “Go Josh! Let’s go Josh! Let’s f***ing go Josh!”

She continued gesturing toward the field as Allen scrambled for a first down, breaking into a grin after the quarterback moved Buffalo closer to the goal line.

The cameras found Steinfeld again in overtime, this time visibly tense after another powerful Allen run put the Bills within field-goal range—just moments after Buffalo appeared destined for a heartbreaking defeat.

Buffalo’s hopes were revived when Rams kicker Harrison Mevis had a potential game-winning field goal blocked in overtime. The miss came after a James Cook fumble appeared to hand Los Angeles the victory.

Stafford had forced overtime with a late touchdown drive, but Tyler Bass settled the contest with a 45-yard kick, giving the Bills a 37-34 win and sending Allen and Steinfeld into celebration.

Steinfeld has generally avoided becoming part of the public spotlight surrounding the Bills quarterback. That changed briefly in Los Angeles when television cameras spotted her watching from a suite at SoFi Stadium.

Although she has posted photos from Highmark Stadium supporting Allen and has occasionally been filmed by fans at games, Steinfeld has rarely appeared in the focus of live television coverage.

That low-key approach has widely been viewed as intentional, allowing Allen to command attention on game day while she remains largely removed from the surrounding publicity.

The difference has been especially noticeable compared with Taylor Swift, whose regular appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games have made her a familiar presence on broadcasts while supporting her husband, Travis Kelce.

Steinfeld and Allen started dating in May 2023, became engaged in November 2024 and married in May 2025. The couple welcomed their first child in April this year.

Steinfeld has described the contrasting calendars created by her acting career and Allen’s football commitments as a blessing, since their busiest periods tend to fall at different times.

Speaking to Variety last year, she said: “What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule.

“So it’s actually a blessing—I try to organize my time so I can be where he is. This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.”

‘I’ve never lived this part of life before – outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.’

Before the season started, and with their new daughter, Harper Haize Allen, now in their lives, Allen shared how they planned to get through the season as a family.

He told E! News before the season: ‘I can’t tell you exactly how I’m going to feel right at this moment, but it’s going to be obviously a lot of FaceTimes, a lot of calls. I don’t want to miss anything.’

He hailed his ‘supportive partner’ for allowing him to stay focused on the season, adding: ‘When we were back in Buffalo for OTAs. Just making sure that I could go to the facility, get my work done, be with the guys and understanding what that was for.’

He credited his wife with helping him ‘find that balance’ as a new parent and said he was ‘trying to ride the wave right now and enjoy’ their time together before the season started.

He shared his plan was ‘just maintaining a positive mindset throughout the whole year.’

Allen hailed Steinfeld’s impact in his MVP season in 2024, saying at the time: ‘She’s been a huge part.

‘The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best.’
