Lionel Messi has been spotted clubbing with teammates and close friends Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez in Miami, as the trio shared the dancefloor to celebrate the birthday of the eight-time Ballon d’Or’s wife, Antonella Roccuzzo.

On Saturday, hours after Inter Miami’s 5-0 win against in-state rivals Orlando City, which both Messi and Suarez got a brace in, the three former Barcelona stars went for dinner at David Grutman and Bad Bunny’s Gekko restaurant – a lavish Japanese steakhouse that costs $100+ per person – with Sergio Busquets and other guests.

The couple and friends enjoyed the rest of their evening at Gekko Lounge dancing in both the DJ booth to Argentina DJ and producer Bizarrap’s mixes.

‘You rock @bizarrap!! Beautiful night with friends,’ Messi shared as a caption to his post on Instagram on Sunday.

‘Thank you for everything, @davidgrutman,’ he also wrote under a snap of himself with Antonella, who celebrated her 36th birthday at the entrepreneur’s eatery.

Messi had originally posted on Monday – the actual day his childhood sweetheart was born: ‘Happy Birthday, Princess! I love you @antonelarocuzzo.’

The couple first celebrated Antonela’s birthday with their three children – sons, Thiago, 11, Matteo, 8, and Ciro, 5 – as they posed in front of multicolor balloons, a cardboard sign of Pocahontas and a wall sticker, which read ‘Happy Birthday Anto.’

‘Un ano mas viejita,’ Antonela wrote as a caption to her Instagram post of family photos, as it directly translates to ‘one year older’ in English.

Victoria Beckham also wished Antonela a happy birthday on Instagram, sharing a picture of them both from what appeared to be a girls lunch.

Saturday began a month of seven matches for Messi and Inter Miami, while his native Argentina has also called him up for two exhibitions against El Salvador and Costa Rica during a four-day stretch later in March.

Both friendlies will be played in the US, with the game against El Salvador taking place at the Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Argentina-Costa Rica will be played in Los Angeles.

There might be a conflict in schedule between Inter Miami and Argentina games, however, as Messi will have to immediately travel back to the East Coast for the Herons’ away game against the Red Bulls in New York on March 23, just a day after Argentina-Costa Rica is played.

A day before his brace on Saturday, Inter Miami head coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino hinted at Messi already showing signs of fatigue after just two MLS games. He said he will carefully monitor his 36-year-old star’s minutes as the season goes on.

Messi played all 90 minutes against Orlando.
