Man United fans have raged after a clip went viral showing they have conceded nine goals in a similar fashion this season – and believe Erik ten Hag is to blame.

The Red Devils continued their abject season under the Dutchman on Saturday evening as they were handed their ninth defeat of the Premier League season already in a 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest.

Marcus Rashford cancelled out Nicolas Dominguez’s opener before former United star Anthony Elanga came back to haunt his old side for assisting Morgan Gibbs-White’s winner.

Later a video surfaced showing all nine of the goals United have let in following cut-backs and bemoaned the ‘comical’ nature of them – singling out manager Ten Hag for criticism.

One fan wrote: ‘If this ain’t a coaching issue, then [I don’t know] what is.’

Another also blamed Ten Hag but also said the problem was due to players being ‘too lazy’ to track back.

‘Crazy thing is, this literally cant be a tactical thing,’ the fan wrote. ‘This it literally because players dont track their men, we go on an attack and the players are too lazy to get back. But its the manager’s fault.’

‘Ten Hag won’t address this and will continue to leave the midfield vacated with his tactics,’ one post read.

IT’S ALL KICKING OFF!

It’s All Kicking Off is an exciting new podcast from Mail Sport that promises a different take on Premier League football, with a show every Monday and Thursday this season.

It is available on MailOnline, Mail+, YouTube , Apple Music and Spotify

One post simply read: ‘Comical.’

Others blamed Scott McTominay for being guilty of allowing opposition players to easily cut through United’s defence with cut-backs.

And some pointed out that United hadn’t conceded any cut-back goals when youngster Kobbie Mainoo was in the side.

‘Anyone notice when Mainoo plays, there is no cutback goal.’

And another fan said the goals highlighted how much they were missing having Casemiro in the team.

‘Guys don’t clock how important Casemiro is. If he was in these matches, none of that would have happened.’
