Reichert highlighted that travelers often receive a formal warning, along with a passport stamp indicating that South African citizens cannot enter or leave the country using a foreign passport. These individuals are urged to update their South African documents accordingly.

Emphasizing the legal obligations of dual citizens, Reichert urged them to remain calm amidst the prevailing confusion, anxiety, and misinformation surrounding the issue.
