Once again, an internet infrastructure outage has disrupted numerous websites, including a popular site used to monitor such outages.

Cloudflare, a provider of content delivery and security services, reported that its global network began “experiencing issues” shortly before 11:50 AM GMT (10:50 PM AEDT).

“Cloudflare is aware of and investigating an issue affecting multiple customers: Widespread 500 errors, along with failures in the Cloudflare Dashboard and API,” the company stated.

“We are actively working to understand the full impact and resolve this issue. Further updates will be provided soon.”

APIs link various platforms, sites, or services, while 500 errors typically indicate generic server problems. Companies utilize the Cloudflare dashboard to manage their services.

Among the impacted sites were X, Melbourne Airport, and Downdetector, which relies on Cloudflare to verify that users are genuine before granting them site access.

Instagram, Facebook and TikTok appeared to be working normally.
