Logitech’s awesome MX Master 3S mouse drops to under $100

Amazon has dropped the price of Logitech’s MX Master 3S wireless mouse to $89.99, a $30 discount that matches its lowest price of the year. The cross-platform mouse may appear fairly standard at first glance, but it stands out with a secondary scroll wheel positioned by the left thumb — a feature that proves especially handy for horizontal navigation in spreadsheets and other wide documents. It works with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux, and can connect either through Bluetooth or the included USB-A 2.4GHz wireless dongle.

The MX Master 3S includes six buttons, all of which are notably quiet and can be customized through Logitech’s software. Logitech says the USB-C rechargeable battery can last up to 70 days on a charge, though testing in our review found real-world battery life came in a bit lower. Even so, that’s unlikely to be a major drawback, since the mouse remains usable while charging.

For shoppers considering an upgrade, Logitech’s newer MX Master 4 sells for $119.99 and adds haptic feedback when pressing the thumb rest. While that’s an interesting addition, along with a handful of smaller refinements, it may not be enough to justify spending an extra $30 over the discounted MX Master 3S.
