After apprehending a burglar, a local person went to the police station for assistance and found the police officer sleeping.

Watching cellphone footage of the incident, residents are furious and want the Algoa Park police station to be shut down.

Numerous meetings with management, as well as a petition signed by more than 300 people, have had no results.

An unknown man says in the video to the policeman “Bro, I see you sleeping here every single morning, OK ” I’m going live on Facebook.

Every morning as I drive by, you’re freaking sleeping in the front seat, and I can’t even see you.”

According to the local newspaper The Republican, the video was enough to initiate an internal investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Department.

However, this is a one-off incident. Smartphone recordings or photographs of officers sleeping on the job are floating all over social media platforms.

The video attracted millions of views and comments, with one Youtube user saying, “That is a major embarrassment.” We gave them money so they could fall asleep on the job while milking the clock.
