Former Georgia and NFL linebacker Jarvis Jones, who’s now a Georgia football staff at his alma mater has been arrested for speeding and reckless driving.

The Georgia football staff was arrested shortly before midnight last Friday.

The arrest of the Georgia football staff relating to the driving incident is the latest tarnish the Georgia Bulldogs, who have been dealing with similar issues since a high-speed crash that resulted in the death of two individuals following a celebratory parade in Athens in January this year.

The 33-year-old Georgia football staff, Jones is the player coordinator for the Bulldogs and once played for Georgia from 2010-2012 and holds school records for sacks and tackles for loss.

Since the accident that claimed the lives of Willock and LeCroy, a total of 14 players from Georgia have either been arrested or issued tickets for speeding and reckless driving.

Georgia coach, Kirby Smart has stated that the Georgia football staff will face internal discipline.

The 33-year-old Georgia football staff was released on $2,400 bond about an hour after the arrest, AP News reports.

No other details were available regarding the 33-year-old Georgia football staff and the said incident due to the Labor Day holiday, AP News added.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart said he can’t comment about the incident relating to the 33-year-old Georgia football staff as it was a ‘personal matter.’
