Cleveland Metroparks Zoo announces arrival of animatronic dragons set for debut in May

The zoo will welcome the ‘Dragons Landing’ attraction on May 2.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has announced the arrival of nearly two dozen animatronic dragons that are set to debut at the park next month!

On May 2, zoo guests will be able to experience a new attraction called “Dragons Landing” where they can interact with and pet mythical creatures, some up to 30 feet long.

“Dragons Landing brings an entirely new limited-time adventure to the Zoo, offering guests an up-close, otherworldly experience into the mythical land of dragons,” said Dr. Chris Kuhar, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Executive Director. “The immersive experience, along with the return of Swan Voyage, offer families more ways to explore the heart of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo this summer.”

Admission to the Dragons Landing area is $3 for zoo members and $4 for non-members. General admission to the zoo is required to purchase tickets.

As part of the announcement, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo also announced the return of Swan Voyage this summer.

In a press release, the zoo said the following about Swan Voyage:

“Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is also excited to welcome back Swan Voyage this summer, offering guests the opportunity to paddle on the picturesque Waterfowl Lake aboard Trumpeter Swan paddle boats. Perfect for families and groups, these five-passenger boats provide a peaceful way to experience the heart of the Zoo.”

Swan Voyage boat rentals are $15 for members, $20 for non-members.

Tickets to both attractions above can be purchased at a number of different locations throughout the zoo including the Guest Resource Center and several other attraction stations.

Dragons Landing is also included in the “Wild Savings Pass” offered by the zoo. For more information on the pass, visit HERE.

Passholders can also receive a $1 discount for Swan Voyage as well as Eagle Zip Adventure and giraffe/bird feeding experiences.
