One Nation has picked up its third Senate seat with Tyron Whitten winning the last spot of six in Western Australia.
Whitten joins Malcolm Roberts, elected sixth in Queensland, and continuing senator and party leader Pauline Hanson in the upper house.

The party shared a congratulatory message on its Facebook page, describing Whitten as “a passionate advocate of the people”.

What are the Senate election results?

The Australian Electoral Commission posted the results for Western Australia on Thursday afternoon, confirming two Labor senators, two Liberal senators and one Greens senator, along with Whitten.

In Queensland, the setup is comparable, with two LNP senators, two Labor senators, and the new Greens leader, Larissa Waters.

Earlier this week, David Pocock and Katy Gallagher were confirmed as ACT senators; three Labor candidates returned in Victoria, along with two Liberals and a Greens.
In Tasmania, the six returned are two Labor senators, two Liberal senators, one Greens, and Jacqui Lambie.
Labor’s Malarndirri McCarthy and NT CLP’s Jacinta Nampijinpa Price won in the Northern Territory, while three Labor senators returned in South Australia, along with two Liberals and a Greens.

NSW remains undeclared.

Who controls the Senate?

Forty of the 76 Senate seats were up for election in the 3 May poll and Labor will have either 28 or 29 seats in the upper house, meaning they will have to rely on the Greens or the Coalition to pass legislation.
