A West Virginia man was indicted on Monday for sexually abusing his daughter and fathering three of her children.

Kenneth Cook, 43, was originally charged in April for incest with his own child. According to WVVA, officials revealed that the three children from this non-consensual incestuous relationship were being neglected.

Cook is now facing 149 criminal charges. Following his arrest, the victim allegedly shared her experiences of sexual abuse by her father on Facebook. She stated she had reported Cook multiple times since she was nine, but her grandmother persuaded Child Protective Services that she was not being truthful.

Cook also suggested he would harm her daughter if she told about the abuse, she claimed.

“My youngest child was born with medical issues and spent the first week in the hospital but was not allowed to visit doctors afterward because he was afraid of the truth coming out. I was caring for a sick baby on my own, who needed urgent medical help,” she explained.

Cook remains jailed on $500,000 bond. He is due back in court on June 24.
