Trump Unleashes Federal Law Enforcement to Secure DC Streets

The White House has announced that President Donald Trump has instructed federal law enforcement to patrol Washington, D.C., for a period of seven days beginning at midnight on Friday. This decision is in reaction to a rise in violent crime within the predominantly Democrat-governed nation’s capital.

The deployment includes agencies like the U.S. Park Police, FBI, DEA, ATF, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“Washington, DC is an incredible city, but it has suffered from violent crime for far too long. President Trump has mandated an increase in the presence of federal law enforcement to safeguard innocent citizens,” stated White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“Starting tonight, there will be no safe harbor for violent criminals in D.C.”

Leavitt further stated that the President “is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our Nation’s capital for its residents, lawmakers, and visitors from all over the globe.”
