A contentious incident involving a kick streamer has led to an arrest after she allegedly shot an unsuspecting bystander in the leg with a paintball gun.
Amaris Sampson, who goes by ‘Xenathewitch’ on social media, has reportedly been charged with assault and causing bodily injury as a result of the occurrence.
Sampson is accused of shooting a fellow influencer in the leg with a paintball gun during an influencer scavenger hunt.
This event was held in a park and was reportedly organized by another streamer known as “Ice_Poseidon.”
The scavenger hunt offered a $30,000 prize to the winner.
“XenaTheWitch” participated, arriving at the park with a companion, both armed with paintball guns.
In one video, the streamer can be heard laughing as she and her pal shoot their paintball guns towards a lake, with multiple bystanders nearby.
The other streamer said, “That’s a real worker you almost shot at.”
Xena, 29, replied: “Like I give a f***.”
NeedToKnow can report that a female member of the public was hit with a paintball pellet.
Being struck with the paintball allegedly caused the other streamer injury.
The scavenger hunt was held by Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas, and broadcast live on August 9.
The victim reportedly filed a report with local police, who are investigating the incident as a potential assault.
A warrant was then issued for Xena’s arrest.
One local source reported that Xena has since been arrested.
However, Austin police had not issued an official notice at the time of writing.
According to local ABC affiliate KVUE, she is being held in Travis County Jail.
She has also reportedly been banned from the streaming site, Kick, and had her channel removed.
Jam Press has contacted the City of Austin Police Department for comment.
Per jail records, a bond has not yet been set for Xena.
Xena is an influencer and streamer who boasts over 54,000 followers on Instagram.
She also has almost 3,000 followers on Twitch, another streaming platform.
