Police were initially called to the salon in Burwood Road, Burwood, on 12.20am on Wednesday, July 2.
They found an accelerant had been poured throughout the shop, but no damage had been caused.
On 3am, Saturday, July 5, police were called to the shop again.
Two men, one armed with an axe, tried to gain entry to the property but were disturbed and fled.
One man has been charged in relation to the first incident and remains before the courts.
Now, police have released footage related to both incidents.
In the first, a man wearing black pants, a black hoodie, a grey and white checkered shirt, and grey or white sneakers, is seen pouring a liquid from a jerry can onto the salon floor.
In footage from the second incident, two men, one carrying an axe, are seen getting out of, and running back to, a car.
One was wearing a yellow high-vis hoodie, black pants, and grey or white sneakers.
The second man wore a yellow high-vis hoodie and black sneakers.
Police are also seeking information about a black Subaru Forester believed to have been used in both incidents.
The car is believed to have been travelling with stolen number plates.
