Forensic expert blows lid on Charlie Kirk suspect stilted final texts

A top forensic psychiatrist has claimed the language used by Tyler Robinson in his final text exchange ‘isn’t normal for a 22-year-old.’

Dr Carole Lieberman admitted the language used by the Charlie Kirk shooting suspect appeared ‘antiquated’ and beyond his years.

The bombshell texts between Robinson and his transgender partner Lance Twigg were revealed in court on Tuesday.

They show the alleged assassin admitting to shooting Charlie Kirk because he ‘had enough of his hatred.’

However, soon after prosecutors unveiled the text exchange, some social media users commented on the uncomfortable nature of the interaction, particularly noting Robinson’s use of ‘my love’ when addressing Twigg.

Dr Lieberman, who has more than two decades of experience analyzing criminal behavior, told the Daily Mail: ‘”My love” isn’t normal phrasing for 22-year-olds. It seems more antiquated than that. His writing is stilted.’

The peculiar way Robinson and his partner talk in their texts sparked wild conspiracy theories online that the messages were faked or scripted.

But Dr Lieberman has a different take.

‘In the trans community and the furry community, such expressions of endearment may be more common,’ she said.

Forensic psychiatrist Carole Lieberman told the Daily Mail that the strange style could also be the result of a mental health breakdown Robinson experienced in Utah State University – where he attended for only one semester before dropping out in 2021.

‘Tyler got A’s in high school and a scholarship to college, so he was obviously bright,’ she noted.

‘However, something happened in his first semester of college to make him drop out.

‘Perhaps it was just coming from being a big fish in a small pond to being a small fish in a big pond.

‘But, it is possible that he was having a psychological ‘breakdown’ of sorts.’

She added: ‘For example, people sometime have their first psychotic break, where they get diagnosed as schizophrenic, in their first year of college.

‘This is because of the typical age of first break schizophrenia being in the late teens to mid-twenties, and because of the stress of being on their own and having to deal with a new environment and a heavy workload. If so, it could influence his language, as well.’

Dr Lieberman added that the kind of ‘stilted language’ is also associated with neurodivergence, such as autism.

‘Some of the reasons for this are that they often don’t have a lot of friends, so they don’t engage in a lot of casual conversation,’ she said. ‘Then when they write, it doesn’t come as fluidly.’

Robinson had been in a relationship with his transgender roommate, Lance Twiggs, who he was messaging in the immediate aftermath of the shooting

In what turned out to be the pair’s final text conversation, Robinson told his lover Lance Twiggs, 22, to ‘drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard.’

The alleged shooter had left a note that read: ‘I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it’, prosecutors said.

‘What?????????????? You’re joking, right????’ Twiggs responded.

Robinson said back: ‘I am still ok my love, but am stuck in orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.’

An apparently panicked Twiggs responded: ‘You weren’t the one who did it right????’, to which he said back: ‘I am, I’m sorry.’

The language used in their exchange fueled conspiracy theories that the texts could be fabricated or may have been prepared by Robinson to offer Twigg an alibi.

In an X post viewed over five million times, conservative commentator Sadie NC said she showed the texts to her 21 and 23-year-old sons, who she says quickly doubted the messages and told her that people their age ‘don’t use complete sentences with correct punctuation.’

Robinson was a straight-A student and earned a scholarship to Utah State University, but he may have suffered mental health challenges before dropping out after just one semester, a forensic psychologist says

Robinson was a straight-A student and earned a scholarship to Utah State University, but he may have suffered mental health challenges before dropping out after just one semester, a forensic psychologist says

X user Evan Kilgore says he ran the texts through Chat GPT and claimed it found them to be ‘most likely fabricated’, alleging they are ‘far too detailed, and too incriminating to be real.’

Daily Wire MAGA commentator Matt Walsh also speculated that the text messages may have been planned by Robinson beforehand.

‘The most plausible and sensible theory isn’t that the FBI made up text messages and released them but that the killer and his boyfriend constructed this highly scripted text conversation as an alibi for the boyfriend,’ he wrote, referencing Twiggs.

‘I don’t know that to be the case, obviously. But it’s a highly plausible scenario.’

But Dr Lieberman denied those theories, telling Daily Mail: ‘I don’t think it would be written by AI… I don’t see editing or fabricated language.’

‘I think it was too short and too personal for it to be AI,’ she added.

Further down the messages, Twiggs also referenced the arrest of George Zinn, a 71-year-old bystander who was held on obstruction of justice charges, and asked: ‘I thought they caught the person?’

Robinson replied that Zinn was just ‘some crazy old dude’, before going into further details that prosecutors say expose his motive for allegedly killing Kirk.

Robinson was seen in the text messages telling Twiggs that he ‘planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down.’

‘Its quiet, almost enough to get out, but theres one vehicle lingering,’ he added.

Asked why he did it, Robinson responded: ‘I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.’

‘If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.’
