A Georgia teen accused of killing her mother and stepfather has pleaded not guilty.
The Times New Georgian reports that 17-year-old Sarah Grace Patrick has entered a plea of not guilty to charges related to the February slayings of her parents, 41-year-old Kristen Brock and 45-year-old James Brock.
Patrick’s attorney, Latoya Williams, waived the arraignment September 9, ahead of a scheduled court hearing Monday.
As previously covered by CrimeOnline, Patrick surrendered to authorities at the Carroll County jail in July, months after she reportedly dialed 911 regarding the deaths. She is currently facing two counts each of murder and aggravated assault.
She has reportedly been separated from the general population for security reasons, police said, as she remains behind bars without bail.
On February 20, Patrick called emergency services following the discovery by her 6-year-old sister of the couple, who were found shot in their home on the 1500 block of Tyus Carrollton Road.
Police stated there were no signs of a break-in at the residence, but one of the doors had been left open.
Subsequently, Patrick turned to TikTok, posting heartfelt messages, encouraging influencers to bring attention to the case, and interacting with true crime enthusiasts to persuade them to highlight the story.
