A teenager in Tennessee is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend by choking, kicking, and trying to stab her during a dispute. He then allegedly threatened to “shoot up the home” after she forced him out, according to the police.

A month following this alleged incident in May, 18-year-old Brandon Grigsby allegedly attacked a family member and splashed bleach in their eyes during an argument, as stated in a Nashville Police Department press release.

The police explained that they couldn’t press charges initially due to the lack of available witnesses. With the recent grand jury indictments, Grigsby is now facing charges for both alleged incidents, including two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of domestic assault, harassment, and theft. He was arrested at his mother’s residence on Wednesday.

“Brandon Grigsby had six outstanding warrants, mainly related to domestic violence incidents this year,” police said in the release.

According to the police, two grand jury indictments involve a May assault on his pregnant girlfriend. She reported that Grigsby choked, kicked her, attempted to stab her abdomen, fired shots into the air, and made threats to “shoot up the home” after she managed to expel him from the premises.

Additional indictments pertain to the June attack on a family member, where Grigsby allegedly threw bleach in the person’s eyes during a dispute. This case was also dismissed earlier due to “witness availability.”

On Wednesday night, detectives located Grigsby at his mother’s house, along with a 16-year-old. They both tried to escape in a BMW but were apprehended after the vehicle was disabled, as reported by NPD officials.

In addition to the assault and harassment charges, Grigsby is facing felony weapon possession and marijuana possession after authorities found approximately 40 grams of pot in a backpack and a pistol on the back seat floorboard. The teen that was with Grigsby has been charged in juvenile court with felony evading arrest.
