Former NFL star Robert Quinn is captured with a bloodied visage as he strikes at the inside of a police car’s door in unsettling new footage from his January hit-and-run arrest in South Carolina.

Published by TMZ, the footage shows a belligerent Quinn struggling to speak while he remains handcuffed in the back of the police car.

‘[Inaudible] why I’m being put behind this car?’ the 35-year-old former first-round pick is heard asking North Charleston police.

Quinn, a former North Carolina star who is seen wearing a UNC t-shirt in the footage, quickly became angry with officers standing off camera.

‘I know you’re hearing me up front,’ Quinn said before he began kicking at the door.

Quinn still contends with misdemeanor reckless driving and hit-and-run charges following the January 10 arrest in his hometown of Charleston County, South Carolina, with a court appearance scheduled for December. His attorney declined to comment to TMZ on Friday.

The retired defensive end’s bloodied booking photo gained widespread attention in January, exhibiting injuries across his forehead, nose, mouth, and temple after allegedly attempting to flee a crash scene.

The local fire department was first on the scene and later informed police that the suspect seemed to be trying to escape the crash site in another vehicle.

When police ultimately arrived, they discovered Quinn in the passenger seat of a white Dodge Challenger. The driver informed officers she was contacted by Quinn to ‘pick him up,’ as stated in the police report provided to DailyMail.com. The woman reportedly works at G-Club, a local gentleman’s club where Quinn had been spotted earlier that night.

Quinn displayed slurred speech and was uncooperative with officers, as noted by police, who reported he inquired, ‘where is my wallet’ while holding it in his hand.

He even tried to avoid arrest by holding the vehicle door closed but was eventually removed and ‘escorted to the ground,’ according to police.

Officers say a maroon Ford F-150 registered to Quinn was on the premises and appeared to have hit the passenger side of a Honda Element, which then flew into several other cars.

Surveillance cameras show Quinn’s truck driving down the road at around 2am Friday before veering across an intersection and over a median before entering the dealership.

The collision is not seen on camera, but it was heard by others, according to police.

At 2:03am, police say, a single person is seen walking through the parking lot and to a nearby gas station before heading back and stumbling several times.

Shortly after, the Dodge Challenger arrives, according to police.

This is not the first vehicular charge Quinn has faced.

In August of 2023, he was charged in South Carolina for crashing into several cars before slapping a woman.

‘He was very belligerent,’ one local told WCSC at the time. ‘He kept saying: ‘Oh don’t worry about it I’ll buy you new cars, I’ll buy you new car, let’s go to the dealership.’

‘I told him to get off my property and he proceeded to put his hands on me and slap me not once but twice.’

He was also arrested in Missouri in 2012 on a DWI charge.

Quinn earned $112 million over a dozen NFL seasons. He has been out of the league since 2022.
