Swifties will get an even bigger look at the life of a showgirl.
“Good Morning America” announced exciting news with the release of the trailer for a six-part docuseries titled “The End of an Era,” along with “The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” both set to premiere on Disney+ on December 12. Fans of the “Fate of Ophelia” singer may recognize that this date falls just one day before her 36th birthday.
The documentary will showcase exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, including performance highlights from opening acts such as Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams, who have since achieved their own sold-out shows in large venues.
“The Final Show,” which complements her 2023 “Eras Tour” concert film, will feature the “Tortured Poets Department” era that Swift introduced during the European segment of her record-setting 21-month global tour. The concert footage was captured at her final performance in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The Eras Tour shattered numerous records concerning attendance and earnings, marking the first tour to reach $1 billion and subsequently the first to hit $2 billion in revenue. The 3.5-hour extravaganza, covering hits from her first 18 years in the music industry, visited 51 cities across five continents, with a total of 149 shows selling out completely.
Fervor for tickets also resulted in headline-grabbing Ticketmaster outages and sky-high prices from scalpers and resellers.
