Jake Paul’s upcoming Netflix match against Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been canceled days before the two were set to square off in Miami.

Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, expressed that their team has collaborated diligently with all involved parties to address the situation with care. This statement was distributed to the press on Monday night.

The much-anticipated exhibition set for November 14 was abruptly canceled after Davis faced legal action from a former girlfriend. The lawsuit alleges battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional emotional distress, as reported by ESPN.

Bidarian further mentioned, “Although this event will not proceed, we remain committed to having Jake Paul headline a Netflix event in 2025. We will provide updates on the new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional matches as soon as they are confirmed.”

The bout generated significant buzz upon its announcement in August, primarily due to Paul’s impressive boxing record, which features several notable figures. Davis, at 30, would have been the first elite boxer in his prime to face the 28-year-old former social media star.

In November 2024, Paul competed against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on Netflix. At 58, Tyson struggled to keep up with the younger Paul.

Jake Paul’s professional boxing record boasts 12 victories, with his sole defeat coming at the hands of reality TV star Tommy Fury, who is the half-brother of ex-heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Davis is undefeated in 30 fights and has one draw on his record.

Paul called Davis a “walking human piece of garbage” on X Monday night where he confirmed the fight wasn’t happening.
