Peach salsa sold at Kroger recalled due to possible listeria contamination

A recall of peach salsa has emerged as part of a broader national recall involving peaches, affecting various stores across the country.

WASHINGTON — The FDA has announced a recall of a salsa product sold at Kroger locations due to potential listeria contamination.

This recall of peach salsa is linked to a more extensive recall of peaches being sold across the United States.

On November 3, JFE Franchising initiated a recall of its Snow Fruit Peach Salsa after concerns arose about possible listeria exposure from its fruit supplier, Moonlight Companies. The FDA confirmed that no related illnesses or complaints have been reported to date.

Additionally, Supreme LLC has recalled its Supreme Produce Peach Salsa. This product was distributed to Kroger stores in states including Illinois, Colorado, Georgia, Washington, Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oregon, and Michigan.

Moonlight Companies also initiated a recall of their yellow and white peaches, which were cultivated in California and distributed nationwide.

  • Snow Fruit Peach Salsa – 639123940636 Best by date: 11/3/2025 -11/4/2025
  • Supreme Produce Peach Salsa – 85006540364 Best by date: 10/12/2025 to 10/29/2025

All recalled peach salsas were sold in plastic clam-shell containers under the SNOWFRUIT label. The product codes can be found here.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, elderly people, pregnant women and those with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA.

Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms including high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Pregnant women face additional risks: listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled peaches at the time of the FDA’s initial recall.

Anyone who purchased the recalled peaches or the peach salsa should not eat them. The recalled products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
