Authorities have detained three individuals and confiscated two vehicles following an alleged display of reckless driving at a car gathering in Adelaide last weekend.

The event took place on Saturday, November 8, organized by a car club at a shopping center parking lot located on Main North Road in Parafield.

During the meet, several drivers reportedly engaged in dangerous activities, such as performing burnouts and driving recklessly in the presence of a significant audience.

Video clips, believed to be from the gathering, surfaced on various social media platforms.

In response, police visited multiple residences in the northern suburbs of Adelaide over the weekend of November 15 and 16.

Among those apprehended was a 26-year-old man from Pooraka, who now faces charges related to vehicle misuse and hazardous driving.

His licence was suspended on the spot for 12 months and he was bailed to appear in court on December 15.

His Ford Falcon sedan, which had allegedly been seen out of control and sliding across Main North Road, over the median strip and coming to a stop on the opposite side of the road, was defected for numerous modifications and faults, including crash damage, police said.

At a Parafield Gardens address, police impounded a VE Commodore and charged a 21-year-old man with dangerous driving and misuse of a motor vehicle.

He also lost his licence for 12 months and will appear in court on December 17.

Finally, police attended a Paralowie address to speak with the registered owner of a VL Commodore that was allegedly recorded being driven dangerously by a male driver, and performing a sustained wheel spin.

However, the 42-year-old Paralowie woman they spoke to refused to identify the driver of her car, and was arrested.

She was charged with failing to answer police questions and was bailed to appear in court on December 18.

Police continue to investigate the club meet.
