President Donald Trump says he's terminating all orders Joe Biden signed with autopen

In a bold proclamation from the nation’s capital, former President Donald Trump declared on Friday that any document bearing the signature of President Joe Biden, executed via an autopen, “is hereby terminated.” This announcement was made public through Trump’s social media platform, where he stated, “I am hereby canceling all Executive Orders, and anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden.”

The specifics of which orders Trump is targeting remain ambiguous, as does the method he intends to use in identifying these documents. ABC News has sought clarification from the White House regarding these assertions.

Trump has accused those operating the autopen of acting unlawfully. However, it’s important to note that the Justice Department’s legal counsel has affirmed the legitimacy of using autopens for signing bills into law.

This isn’t the first instance of Trump’s focus on Biden’s use of the autopen. Back in June, he alleged that Biden’s aides had unlawfully employed the autopen to implement “radical” policies. Trump also called for investigations into Biden’s mental state during his presidency by the Justice Department and the White House. In response, Biden dismissed the probe as a mere diversion, issuing a statement to ABC News at the time.

“Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false,” Biden asserted in his June statement, pushing back against Trump’s claims.

Trump has said he has used an autopen for some trivial matters, but criticized its use for pardons.
