Hollywood’s beloved couple, despite an 18-year age difference, recently appeared as infatuated as ever during a relaxed stroll.

The duo met when he was a mere 21 years old and she was 39, yet this age gap did nothing to deter them from tying the knot in 1980.

Their paths first crossed while starring in the play “The Elephant Man,” and they even shared the screen in an episode of the 1980s series “Hotel.”

She has dazzled audiences with performances in films like “The Rare Breed” and “Avanti!,” while his breakout role came opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in the 1982 film “Grease 2,” followed by his notable portrayal of Miles in “Dynasty.”

Even after 45 years of marriage, the couple’s chemistry remains undeniable. They were seen tenderly holding hands during a picturesque walk through a verdant part of Los Angeles on November 23.

The couple were spotted last weekend, holding hands during a quiet stroll in a neighborhood.

And they seemed keen on remembering the moment, as Caulfield brought a fancy camera for the occasion.

Caulfield was clad in a purple turtleneck, black jeans, and blue sweater, while his lady love opted for violet leggings, a blue sweater, and Patagonia vest.

Hand in hand and with a relaxed air to them, the duo were the epitome of couples goals. 

The lovebirds had an instant attraction after meeting as co-stars on a US tour of the award-winning play The Elephant Man.

‘We were instant friends, immediately attracted,’ she told Weekend Magazine in 2019.

‘I believe in reincarnation and I believe I’d known Maxwell in another life. It was like saying, “Oh hello, there you are,”‘ she said.

‘It was a full-blown romance,’ Caulfield added.

Maxwell lovingly held his wife’s hand as they made their way down the road 

Mills said: ‘Maxwell is very romantic, very protective and my best friend.

‘He planned our wedding too. It was the most romantic ever – at sunrise on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific.’

The couple exchanged vows at Point Dume in Malibu, followed by a small reception at the Beverly Hills home belonging to Mills’s parents.

It was Caulfield’s first time walking down the aisle but the third for Mills, who has son Sean Caulfield with ex-husband Russell Alquist, Jr. and daughter Melissa Caulfield with ex-husband Michael Miklenda. 

While Caulfield is now stepfather to Sean and Melissa, he doesn’t share any children with Mills.

Despite her being nearly two decades older than him, Caulfield said she is the one keeping him young. 

Speaking on Loose Women last year, he said: ‘Funnily enough, she’s the one who keeps me young.

‘It’s like a reverse process going on, it’s kind of spooky. It’s like “Slow down, will you?”

‘I don’t mean in the age department, either!’

The couple’s acting careers are also still going strong, with Mills recently having a role in Grey’s Anatomy and Caulfield appearing in The Bay and an episode of Landman.
