3 people arrested after 7 Providence College students overdose at off-campus party

In a recent incident, three individuals found themselves in police custody, accused of supplying illegal drugs to a group of Providence College students. This situation arose after seven students suffered overdoses at an off-campus gathering, as reported by the authorities.

Law enforcement officials from Providence intervened at a party on Liege Street in Providence, Rhode Island, where they discovered four students unconscious on the front lawn, according to a report by WBZ-TV. In total, seven individuals at the event overdosed, received Narcan treatment, and were subsequently taken to a hospital. Fortunately, they regained consciousness and were reported to be in a stable condition.

The investigation led officers to conduct a search at a residence on Hawkins Street. During the search, authorities confiscated roughly 20 grams of fentanyl, $1,700 in cash, along with two rifles and three handguns, one of which was identified as a “ghost gun.”

Angel Williams, Patrick Patterson and Kimsheree Simoneau

The Providence Police Department has identified Angel Williams, Patrick Patterson, and Kimsheree Simoneau as the suspects allegedly responsible for distributing drugs to the affected Providence College students.

Angel Williams, aged 33, Patrick Patterson, aged 32, and Kimsheree Simoneau, aged 33, now face serious charges. Williams and Patterson are charged with multiple drug and firearm offenses, while Simoneau is facing charges related to the possession of a ghost gun.

Currently, Williams and Patterson remain in custody without the option of bail, whereas Simoneau has been released after posting a $10,000 bond.

“This investigation reflects the department’s continued commitment to combating the deadly flow of fentanyl and illegal firearms into our community,” Providence Police Col. Oscar Perez said in a statement.

“The coordinated efforts of our Narcotics and Organized Crime Bureau ensured that dangerous weapons and narcotics were removed from the streets of Providence,” he continued.
