Iranians chant and dance in the streets after US, Israeli air strikes

In a wave of jubilation, Iranians took to the streets to celebrate following missile strikes by the US and Israel against the Iranian regime, as reported by various sources.

Video footage circulating online captured scenes of Iranians dancing and chanting early Saturday, shortly after the launch of “Operation Epic Fury,” a coordinated attack aimed at Iranian leadership.

One student was heard exclaiming, “I love Trump!” as plumes of smoke billowed from a nearby building, according to a clip shared on the platform X and covered by The Telegraph.

Additional videos revealed people dancing in the streets—an act of defiance against the Islamic regime, which has deemed public dancing illegal since the 1979 Revolution.

Women were seen smiling and spinning joyfully to music as observers applauded, according to footage distributed by Iran International.

Meanwhile, students at Tehran University organized a demonstration to express their support for the US-Israeli military action.

Demonstrators at the college in Iran’s capital city waved the country’s flags while chanting, an unverified clip posted on X by news outlet Rudaw showed.

The US and Israel also launched an attack on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Tehran compound.

“When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take,” Trump said Saturday, addressing the people of Iran.

“America is backing you with overwhelming strength. Now is the time to seize control of your destiny and unleash the prosperous and glorious future that is close within your reach.”

The airstrikes are a response to the regime’s refusal to dismantle its nuclear program following weeks of talks.

Israel later confirmed the joint strikes targeted the Supreme Leader and Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian. The fate of both leaders was unclear, though the Ayatollah was expected to have survived.

“Our joint operation will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Iran has launched retaliatory attacks, striking US military bases across the Middle East.

The country’s Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh and Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammed Pakpour were killed in Israeli attacks.

Officials in Tehran have slammed the attack as illegal and unprovoked.
