In a shocking incident at Penn Station, a pyromaniac attacked a sleeping homeless man, setting him ablaze while his accomplices looked on, authorities and sources reported on Monday.

According to police, the arsonist ignited the clothing of the 37-year-old victim as he lay in the Amtrak Rotunda of the busy transit hub located on West 31st Street near Seventh Avenue around 8:40 p.m.

Emergency responders swiftly managed to put out the flames, and the victim was transported to Weill Cornell Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, officials confirmed.

By the time help arrived, the culprits had already vanished, and as of Tuesday, the police had not made any arrests.

Descriptions of the suspects include one individual in a black jacket and blue jeans, another in a brown jacket with gray pants, and a third carrying a backpack, according to police.

This attack is reminiscent of a similar incident approximately three months prior when an 18-year-old allegedly set a 56-year-old homeless man on fire aboard a No. 3 train as it passed through 34th Street-Penn Station in December, police noted.

The attack left the victim so badly scorched that cops found skin on one of the seats on the train, sources said at the time.
