US obliterates ‘every MILITARY target’ on Iran’s Kharg Island in historic bombing raid, Trump says

In a historic military operation, U.S. airstrikes have “completely destroyed” military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island, a crucial hub for the nation’s oil exports, President Donald Trump announced on Friday. This significant event marks a notable escalation in the Persian Gulf region.

President Trump stated, “Just moments ago, under my orders, the United States Central Command carried out one of the most significant bombing raids in Middle Eastern history, utterly demolishing all military targets on Kharg Island, Iran’s prized asset,” in a post on Truth Social.

Kharg Island, situated approximately 16 miles off Iran’s coastline, is about one-third the size of Manhattan and is pivotal for handling 90% of the country’s crude oil exports.

While the military targets were hit, Trump clarified that the island’s oil facilities were left intact for the time being. However, he hinted that future actions might target these infrastructures if Iran obstructs maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

“Our weapons are the most advanced and powerful globally, but I have chosen, out of decency, not to target the island’s oil infrastructure,” Trump remarked.

He further warned, “Nevertheless, if Iran or any other entity attempts to interfere with the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will have no hesitation in revisiting this decision.”

“However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision,” Trump warned.
