Israel foils Hamas terror network run from Turkey

The Israeli Security Agency, known as Shin Bet, announced on Monday the discovery of a Hamas terror network operating in Judea and Samaria, allegedly orchestrated by a Hamas operative stationed in Turkey.

The network’s activities were reportedly managed by Mahmoud Radwan, a Hamas member who was released in a 2025 prisoner exchange. Following his release, he was deported to Turkey after serving time in Israel for his involvement in the 2001 murder of Yossi Alfasi.

Radwan is accused of enlisting two individuals from the village of Azzun, near Qalqiliya in western Samaria, to partake in planned terrorist operations.

Shin Bet claims that Radwan met with these recruits in Turkey in December 2025, where he discussed his ongoing involvement in terrorist activities and urged them to support his cause.

Legal charges have been filed against the suspects involved in the network.

The agency has reaffirmed its commitment to vigorously counteract efforts by Hamas and similar groups to promote terrorist activities against Israel, both from abroad and within Judea and Samaria.
