Olaf, the charming snowman from Disney’s “Frozen,” experienced an unexpected meltdown during his grand unveiling at Disneyland Paris on Monday. The brand new robot version of Olaf, designed to entertain park visitors, suddenly froze and toppled over, causing his iconic carrot nose to go flying.

The mishap, captured on video, shows the robot faltering just as it began to greet an enthusiastic crowd gathered to see the beloved character come to life. The high-tech Olaf unexpectedly fell backward, prompting gasps of surprise from onlookers.

In the aftermath of this surprising glitch, Disneyland staff quickly moved to whisk away the malfunctioning robot. Despite the hiccup, the incident quickly became a sensation online, with footage of the event amassing millions of views on social media within a day.

The so-called high-tech robotic then suddenly fell backwards as visitors cried out in shock.

Footage of the freeze-up quickly exploded on social media — racking up millions of views in less than 24 hours.

“POV you waited 30 minutes to see Olaf and then this happens,” Magic Tour Club, who posted the original clip, wrote on TikTok. 

“Olaf just melted … literally.”

Disney started touting the arrival of the Olaf robot — described as the “latest brand-new innovation” — late last year.
