Prince Harry sent flirty messages to reporter about 'movie snuggles'

In a surprising twist of royal intrigue, Prince Harry’s light-hearted Facebook exchanges with a journalist have surfaced in court documents. These flirty messages reveal a playful side of the prince, where he joked about out-drinking journalist Charlotte Griffiths and nostalgically referred to their “movie snuggles.”

The lively interactions, part of Prince Harry’s ongoing privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited, show him affectionately calling Griffiths “sugar” and ending his notes with a cascade of kisses. Griffiths, a reporter for the Daily Mail, reciprocated the banter, dubbing Harry “Mr Mischief” and alluding to a “weekend of naughtiness,” as reported by the Telegraph.

While Harry insists their acquaintance was brief, claiming to have met Griffiths just once before realizing her profession, the messages exchanged between December 2011 and January 2012 suggest a closer rapport than he admits.

In his initial message, the Duke of Sussex made sure to clarify his identity: “It’s H, in case you were confused by the name and picture.” Griffiths responded with equal cheekiness, “Hello Mr Mischief, was indeed confused by both – effing awesome pie,” while inquiring about his car and chatting about their mutual friend, Arthur Landon.

“It’s H, incase u were confused by the name and picture,” the duke wrote in his first message to Griffiths, now 40.

“Hello Mr Mischief, was indeed confused by both – effing awesome pie,” Griffiths replied before asking whether the duke had found his car and speaking about their mutual pal Arthur Landon.

In a follow-up message, she reminisced on her “weekend of naughtiness” with the duke.

“Can’t we all get up to no good in the countryside every weeked [sic] damn it?? Smooches, CG String. Xxx,” she wrote.

Harry responded, saying it was “without doubt the best of those weekends I’ve been to.”

“What a crowd. Never laughed so much in 24hrs!!! Mr Mischief? How did I get that title… I was surely no worse than anyone else,” he wrote.

The pair exchanged a flurry of texts over several days before their communication stopped.

Griffiths then sent a message about a ski holiday in January 2012, where she referred to Harry as “H-bomb.”

“I wish I was there sugar but unfortunately stuck in Cornwall doing Army stuff,” Harry said.

“Otherwise I would have been there playing and then drinking u under the table, obvi!!.”

Harry also told the reporter he missed their “movie snuggles” and their messages stopped soon after.

The messages were sent before Harry dated the actress and model Cressida Bonas.

During her testimony, Griffiths said she and Harry went to a party in June 2012, the night before Trooping the Color, and messaged the next morning.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, and six other claimants, including Elton John, are suing Associated Newspapers for alleged widespread unlawful activities ranging from hacking voicemail messages, bugging landlines and obtaining private information by deception over more than two decades from the early 1990s.

The judge warned Tuesday that a ruling would take some time.
