'Epstein Egg Hunt' sends liberals scouring Manhattan for $200 prize -- as organizer is hit with summons

A liberal organization known for its opposition to Turning Point USA faced an unexpected legal summons during an innovative event called the “Epstein Easter Egg Hunt,” where progressive participants combed through Manhattan for a chance to win $200.

The youth-driven group, Disrupt, gathered around 45 individuals at Washington Square Park on Saturday morning for this unconventional egg hunt. The event aimed to “uncover who in NYC needs to be held accountable for their part in the [Epstein] files,” according to the description provided by the organizers.

Chanting “Release the names, release the names, release the names,” the enthusiastic crowd spread out across the city. They searched for plastic eggs containing QR codes that linked to Epstein-related files.

Participants were then challenged with questions about these documents, earning points for each correct answer. Special golden eggs contained redacted files, adding a layer of intrigue to the hunt.

“Just as Willy Wonka had a golden ticket, we have golden eggs scattered throughout Manhattan,” remarked Carlos Calzadilla-Palacio, 28, the president of Disrupt, while perched on the rim of the Washington Square Park fountain.

In total, around 800 eggs were hidden in various locations referenced in the files, such as the notorious financier’s former Upper East Side apartment and Trump Tower on the Upper West Side.

And while the hunters searched Manhattan, Calzadilla-Palacio ran into trouble at the park when he was issued a summons and fined $50 for Disrupt’s “political activities,” the group claimed in a statement.

Disrupt, which Calzadilla-Palacio described as a counter-movement to Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA, slammed the summons as “a direct violation of the First Amendment.”

According to the ticket, Calzadilla-Palacio was penalized for not having a permit to set up his “Epstein table.”

The NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, which wrote the ticket, did not immediately return a request for comment.

First place winner Everett J. Walk said the activity gave him a new – unsettling – perspective on Jeffrey Epstein’s sickening crimes.

“Being around there for the first time with this knowledge of what’s behind it… it was informative but also, I felt like I needed to take a shower,” he reflected.
