Stranger pummels elderly NYC man in deranged burst of violence on Upper East Side: cops

Last week, an unsettling act of aggression unfolded on the Upper East Side when an unknown assailant violently attacked an elderly man, police reported.

The attacker confronted the 75-year-old outside a grocery store on York Avenue, close to East 83rd Street, around 5:20 p.m. on Friday. The two began arguing, according to police accounts.

In a sudden escalation, the attacker allegedly shoved the senior to the pavement, the NYPD stated.

Video shows the suspect walking in the store wearing a gray hat, a pair of shades, a blue jacket and black pants.
