In a dramatic court appearance, beauty influencer Gabrielle Carrington, aged 29, made a heart gesture towards her supporters in the public gallery at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London. She faces serious charges, including attempted murder, following an alleged incident where she reportedly drove her Mercedes into fellow influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, aged 30, after a confrontation outside a nightclub, as reported by BBC News.
Once a member of the girl group “Miss Dynamix” and a 2013 contestant on “The X Factor,” Carrington only spoke to confirm her personal details during the proceedings. She stands accused of several charges: attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, and driving under the influence.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Zakrzewska remains in critical condition. Prosecutors allege that she was “trapped and dragged” beneath Carrington’s vehicle following the early morning altercation outside the Inca nightclub in Central London, at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
A video circulating on social media platform X purportedly captures the tense moments leading up to the incident. The footage allegedly shows Carrington and Zakrzewska in a physical altercation as onlookers record the scene.
The video further appears to depict Carrington entering her vehicle and driving towards Zakrzewska, resulting in two additional individuals being struck during the incident.
Suddenly, the footage appears to show Carrington getting in her car and driving into Zakrzewska, hitting two others in the process.
With a sickening crunch, the Mercedes then reverses back over Zakrzewska, whose family was in the court on Tuesday.
In security footage shown in court, Carrington is seen arriving at the scene in her car before having an “altercation” with a man, which allegedly “escalated to involve several other members of the public,” the jury was told.
Carrington was seen returning to her car, which was then captured “immediately moving off and sharply mounting a pavement,” prosecutor Rizwan Amin told the jury.
Polish-born Zakrzewska, who has almost 270,000 followers on Instagram under the handle “klaudiaglam,” was then “trapped and dragged under the vehicle,” Amin said.
Carrington, from Manchester, was almost twice the alcohol limit when she was tested following the shocking incident, Amin said.
Security guard Anoush Chyche, in his 50s, was hit by the car as he unlocked an e-scooter nearby and suffered “life-changing injuries,” while a woman in her 30s, Latisha Armstrong, sustained a wrist injury in the incident,” Amin said.
The scene outside the nightclub was a “melee” with “lots of people shouting” when police arrived,” Amin said.
“The full extent of the incident wasn’t appreciated at the time officers had attended,” Amin said.
The cause of the fight was reportedly an “ongoing dispute with the parties, and the parties were known to each other,” Amin said.
Carrington, who has more than 365,000 Instagram followers under the handle “RIELLEUK,” was remanded in custody ahead of her next scheduled court appearance at the Old Bailey courthouse on May 19.
