The Smyth County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office has reported a significant legal development involving a Marion resident. On Friday, officials announced that 45-year-old David Kirkland has been found guilty of taking indecent liberties with a child. This conviction was secured on Thursday, as detailed in an official statement issued by Commonwealth’s Attorney Phillip Blevins Jr. from the office in Smyth County.
