Florida detectives are on the hunt for a group of teenagers whose late-night escapade has left a local golf course facing significant damage and costly repairs.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Weston Hills Golf Course, as reported by the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies who responded to reports of suspicious activity arrived to find that the course had been extensively damaged. Witnesses reported that several youths had been riding motorized bikes and a golf cart across the course.
A video released by local authorities captured the chaos, showing the teenagers recklessly navigating the golf course, leaving behind a trail of destruction that officials estimate will cost thousands of dollars to repair.
Witnesses described seeing the teens accelerating and coming to abrupt stops, skidding across the greens and leaving deep tracks.
The footage shows at least four teenagers riding motorized bikes around the course, while others are seen driving a golf cart directly on the greens, a designated area that is off-limits to prevent damage.
Authorities said the behavior caused approximately $3,000 in damage, based on an initial assessment by golf course staff.
The Weston Hills Golf Course, a well-known facility in the area, features two 18-hole championship courses and covers over 300 acres of land.

The sheriff’s department has classified the incident as criminal mischief and is working to identify those involved.
Officials have not released descriptions of the juveniles but say the video evidence may help generate leads.
