GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The final defendant involved in a COVID-19 employment tax credit fraud case in Kingsport has been sentenced. On Thursday, a federal judge handed down a 65-month prison sentence to Edward Zanes, 51, of Kingsport. In addition to his prison term, Zanes will also serve three years of supervised release, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
