Authorities in Boston are delving into a shocking incident involving the stick-up of a lemonade stand run by siblings. This unusual crime has drawn significant community attention.
On Wednesday at 4:45 p.m., officers from the Boston Police Department arrived in South Boston, where they encountered the children and their father. The young vendors recounted that two individuals had circled their stand multiple times before approaching to inquire if they accepted Apple Pay, according to a police report shared with News Agency.
Without allowing the children to respond, one of the suspects seized a box holding $50 in cash. The other suspect revealed a black gun tucked in his waistband before both fled the scene, the police reported.
Commenting on the incident, Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn, whose constituency includes parts of South Boston, expressed his dismay on Facebook, stating, “Few things are more unsettling than an armed robbery disrupting the innocence of a children’s lemonade stand. Our thoughts are with the young ones and their families as they cope with this senseless and distressing event.”
