Jurors in Lindsay Clancy trial may be have to see horrific autopsy photos

Jurors in the murder trial of Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy may be shown graphic autopsy images of the three children she is accused of killing with exercise bands, according to court filings. The same documents indicate that her husband, Patrick Clancy, is also expected to testify.

Prosecutors say they intend to present photos and video recorded inside the family’s Duxbury home after the alleged killings on Jan. 24, 2023. Jurors are also expected to be guided through a walk-through of the house as part of the evidence.

Court records filed last week also show that Patrick Clancy’s 911 call is expected to be played during the trial.

Lindsay Clancy, 35, a former nurse, is accused of strangling her children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan — before cutting her neck and wrists and jumping from a second-story window at the home.

According to prosecutors, Patrick Clancy was still on the phone with a dispatcher when he found the children in the basement. As officers moved downstairs, he could be heard crying out, “She killed the kids!”

Clancy, who is now paraplegic, has said she was heavily medicated and experiencing severe postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings.

She is planning to ask a jury to find her not guilty by reason of insanity.
