Sisters, including one 9 months pregnant, allegedly stabbed and hurled hot oil at Detroit restaurant worker

Two Michigan sisters are accused of violently attacking a restaurant employee in Detroit after a dispute over a mistaken food order, according to local reports. Prosecutors say the confrontation escalated dramatically, with one of the women allegedly throwing hot oil and both taking part in the assault.

The incident happened May 30 at a chicken restaurant, where Brianna Long, 29, and Kierianna Long, 26, were later charged in connection with the attack. Among the charges they face is assault with intent to murder, ClickOnDetroit reported.

Sisters Brianna and Kierianna Long were hit with a slew of charges, including assault with intent to murder, for allegedly stabbing a restaurant worker over a wrong food order. Detroit Police Dept.

Authorities allege the altercation began after the sisters were given the wrong order. Prosecutors said the two started arguing with a 23-year-old employee before going behind the counter and confronting her directly.

According to reports, the situation quickly turned violent. The sisters allegedly threw objects at the worker, struck her with pots and pans, and attempted to hurl hot grease at her head, Metro Detroit News reported.

Investigators say that as the employee fought back by throwing items at the women, the sisters grabbed a knife that had been thrown in the chaos and used it to stab the worker in the stomach.

During the attack, one of the sisters allegedly shouted, “I’m going to kill you,” adding to the severity of the accusations now facing them.

The worker was taken to a local hospital, where she underwent surgery, as the Long siblings attempted to drive away from the scene. Brianna and Kierianna were eventually taken into custody.

Brianna, who was 9 months pregnant, gave birth four days before her arraignment in connection with the stabbing, ClickonDetroit reported.

Her defense attorney claimed the worker sparked the assault by stating that she didn’t “give a f–k” about the food order mixup and started throwing things at the sisters first.

The new mother pleaded with the judge, stating that she was innocent and had a 4-day-old baby at home, the outlet reported.

The judge, however, ordered Brianna held on a $25,000 cash bond and Kierianna on a $100,000 cash bond after they pleaded not guilty to charges.
