Tourists from across the globe stumbled into what many described as a “very cool” New York City scene Friday night, making their way toward Madison Square Garden as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce exchanged vows inside the famed arena.
“I wish they did this in Chicago,” said Charlie Kiley, a data analyst visiting from the Windy City, as he stood outside the World’s Most Famous Arena, where glowing digital billboards flashed the message “JUST&T MARRIED!”
Kiley, who was in town for Fourth of July celebrations, said the scale of the moment made it impossible to ignore. “I felt like I couldn’t be in New York City and miss out on this spectacle,” he said.
“It’s pretty amazing how they shut down all the streets and it’s just such a big production that it’s exciting to come check it out,” he added. “I’m a fan of Swift, and then I went to the same university as Kelce.”
The buzz drew not only local onlookers and out-of-town Americans, but also international visitors who came to see the heavily secured Garden from the outside. Inside, Swift and Kelce were marking their wedding with more than 1,000 guests, among them a star-studded roster of A-list names.
Tiffany Hwang, 21, visiting from Taiwan, stopped by with her friend Jason Lee, also 21, and offered warm wishes for the newly married pair.
“I wish them a very blessed and good life together,” Hwang told the Post, saying she hoped the couple would enjoy “a life full of love.”

Hwang added that she has long admired Swift, saying she loves “her songwriting very much.”
“And the stories in the songs,” Lee added.
Siearie Smith, 36, stumbled upon the hubbub of MSG completely by accident while traveling with her mother from Minnesota.
While sightseeing in Times Square they noticed the “JUST&T MARRIED!” sign outside the arena.
“We were coming over here to sight see and then we see ‘just married’ and we knew Taylor Swift was getting married,” she explained.
“For one person’s wedding this is very cool.”
Sadiel Saavedre 30, of Miami waited outside MSG for hours in hopes of catching a glimpse of his favorite artist.
“I’m a huge fan,” he told The Post. “I identify with the music, the lyrics.”
