Theo Wold discussed capital punishment during Thursday’s edition of “The Alex Marlow Show.”
Wold argued that opponents of policing, prisons, and the death penalty have spent years pressuring the supply chain for execution drugs. “The anti-police, anti-prison, anti-death penalty crowd had for years essentially boycotted or, you know, designed embargos of pharmaceutical companies first and then the importers of the compound drugs that were used in the three-drug compound necessary for lethal injection,” he said. Wold added that the strategy was aimed at blocking executions in states where changing the law would be difficult, saying activists sought to ensure states such as Arizona or Idaho could no longer carry out death sentences because they lacked access to the necessary drugs.
