Navarone Garibaldi, the son of Priscilla Presley, has started a GoFundMe campaign to help fund a new business project.
The 39-year-old musician and public figure has said he is raising money to launch what he describes as an “affordable organic pizza” venture, and has defended the decision after drawing criticism online.
In a recent Instagram post, Garibaldi pushed back at followers who questioned why he was seeking donations instead of turning to his 81-year-old mother for financial support. “Haters gonna hate,” he wrote. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Presley’s estimated fortune is $10 million.
“I’m sure I’ll have to explain this many more times to ignorant people who think I should ‘ask my mom’ or that I have money… YEAH, I also have a lot of bills, I also have a budget,” he wrote.
Garibaldi, whose father is 71-year-old screenwriter Marco Garibaldi, has raised $3,718 toward a $5,500 goal so far.
On his GoFundMe page, he explains that he located a large industrial pizza oven and negotiated the price down from $14,000 to $8,500. “I have 3,000 saved up for this,” the campaign description states.

Garibaldi, 39, has defended his decision to crowdfund an “affordable organic pizza” business after facing criticism online
Garibaldi stated on Instagram that he donates to homelessness and other unnamed causes.
He explained to his nearly 50,000 followers: ‘If I just went all in every time I thought I had a great idea… I’d be broke in 2 days.’
‘I’m not asking [anyone] to donate that can’t afford to,’ he clarified. ‘I’m offering free pizza to people that donate.’
The star reiterated, ‘I’m putting in a lot of my own money to buy this oven. Just asking for help on the remaining bit that’s out of my budget. That’s all.’
He signed off, ‘Love and Peace, Kindness and pizza.’
Recent donations have ranged in generosity from $13-1,000.
Via the crowdfunding site, Garibaldi shared, ‘I have always wanted to start my own business, but marketing and advertising always get in my way.
‘The pizza dough and sauces [are] already sourced. It’s just buying the oven that I need to get me started.’

‘Haters gonna hate,’ he wrote in a recent Instagram post after his followers criticized him for begging for money, rather than asking his 81-year-old mother for the capital. Garibaldi said he’s invested $3,000 of his personal money into the business

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for comment and has yet to hear back.
In addition to Garibaldi, Presley was also mom to the late Lisa Marie Presley, who died in 2023 at age 54.
She shared Lisa Marie with iconic music artist Elvis Presley, to whom she was wed from 1967-1973.
Lisa Marie left behind daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood, 18, whom she shared with ex-husband Michael Lockwood, 65, as well as 37-year-old daughter Riley Keough, whom she had with ex-husband Danny Keough, 61.
Lisa Marie and Danny’s son, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide at age 27 in July 2020.
Both Presley and Garibaldi memorialized him by sharing his photo on their respective Instagram pages on Sunday, the six-year anniversary of his death.
In May, Presley and Garibaldi attended a speaking event in Las Vegas, where the grieving mother said her daughter’s death created a fissure within the family.
‘It’s kind of separated us in a way,’ she said in an audio clip obtained by the Daily Mail, adding that before Lisa Marie’s passing the family would ‘get together and have meals and, of course, you know, have family.’
