Military prosecutors in Judea and Samaria have submitted an indictment against a Palestinian terrorist suspect accused of taking part in the 2007 killing of Israeli civilian Ido Zoldan, the Israel Defense Forces said Friday.
The suspect, identified as Shadi Juma, was detained on May 26, 2026, in central Qalqilya, a city in Samaria, during a coordinated operation involving the IDF, the Israel Security Agency, also known as Shin Bet, and the Israel Police’s Gideonim Unit 33.
Israeli authorities said the arrest came after an extended intelligence-gathering and operational campaign. Juma had only recently been freed from Palestinian Authority custody, where he had been held before Israeli forces arrested him.
The indictment was filed Thursday in a military court and accuses Juma of intentionally causing death together with others, an offense treated as murder under military law.
Zoldan, 29, was a former officer in the Golani Infantry Brigade and lived in Shavei Shomron. Married and the father of two young children, he was driving home from a Torah study session on Nov. 19, 2007, when terrorists ambushed his car and shot him dead near the Samaria village of Funduq.

According to the charge sheet, Juma and two other men allegedly plotted the shooting attack and set out to target Jewish drivers on a main roadway in the area.
Prosecutors say the three prepared their vehicle in advance, discussed the details of the planned attack and agreed they would verify that the person they intended to shoot was Jewish before opening fire.
The indictment alleges that after the group identified Zoldan’s car, they pulled up alongside it, and one of Juma’s accomplices fired at him from close range with the intention of killing him.
Zoldan was killed in the attack, and the three suspects fled the scene.
The military prosecution said it has remained in continuous contact with the Zoldan family throughout the legal process and is ensuring that the family receives all rights afforded to victims under Israeli law.
The IDF and the Military Prosecution extended their condolences to the Zoldan family.
