A dramatic scene broke out inside a Barnes & Noble when a woman writhed on the floor and other attendees cried out, trembled and appeared to collapse during a celebrity pastor’s book signing event.
The unsettling moments took place as Kathryn Krick, the 35-year-old self-proclaimed “apostle” and lead pastor of Five-Fold Church in Los Angeles, spoke to a crowd of more than 200 people at the Houston bookstore.
Krick’s ministry is known for a practice it calls spiritual “deliverance,” which it describes as helping people break free from demonic influence.
She later framed the attendees’ extreme physical responses as manifestations of God’s power and signs of what she described as a growing Christian revival.
Footage shared by Krick shows one woman approaching the signing table visibly emotional as her right hand begins to shake.
In footage from the event, the woman’s body began to jolt within moments, her torso convulsing as her head tipped sharply backward while two people stepped in to steady her.
Her legs then gave way, and she bent backward over a folding chair as a man held her head before others helped lower her to the bookstore floor.
The video later showed other people in the audience sobbing, shouting, bending forward and sinking into their seats as Krick either touched them or motioned in their direction.

During one interaction, Krick could be heard commanding something to ‘leave her body,’ apparently performing what her ministry describes as spiritual ‘deliverance.’
Text superimposed over the footage declares: ‘God’s power is not limited to the four walls of a church.’
Krick said the reactions occurred during her message and continued as attendees approached her to have their books signed.
‘Revival broke out in this bookstore!’ she wrote in an Instagram caption.
She claimed people began ‘falling out of their seats’ as she spoke.
‘Person after person was touched as they came to get their books signed, and I was left in awe of the tangible love of God that filled the store,’ she wrote.
‘Many were set free, some received impartation, and others were touched powerfully by God’s love. Hallelujah!’
Five-Fold Church describes its mission as bringing Christian revival around the world and restoring practices it believes have been lost from the early church.

According to its website, the church teaches that God’s power can ‘deliver the oppressed and heal the sick.’
The ministry also says its followers are called to ‘heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead’ by acting as vessels for what it describes as God’s anointing.
That ‘anointing,’ the church says, can be passed to others through a practice known as ‘impartation.’
She provided no evidence to support the purported healings or demonic deliverances.
