President Donald Trump welcomed the Los Angeles Dodgers to the White House on Thursday, celebrating the team’s 2025 World Series championship.
The ceremony took place in the revamped Rose Garden, where Trump hosted the Dodgers for a championship tribute.

As part of the White House visit, the Dodgers presented Trump with an honorary ring and a team jersey. The president appeared delighted by the gifts, joking about whether the ring needed to be reported.
The Dodgers also handed Trump what appeared to be a replica World Series ring, drawing a quick reaction from the president. “Wow. Do I have to report this? I don’t want to report this,” Trump said before placing the ring inside the inner pocket of his suit jacket.

He praised the players, including their star, Shohei Ohtani.
“He’s amazing. He’s amazing. Everybody loves him. Last year, Shohei did what was previously unthinkable. Nobody thought it was possible. He collected his a third straight unanimous league MVP with a franchise record 55 home runs. And if you would have told me you can be the best pitcher and the best hitter at the same time, you know, Babe Ruth was pretty close to that.”
