Lindsay Clancy wept in court Wednesday as a medical examiner detailed findings from the autopsy of her 5-year-old daughter.
The emotional moment came shortly after Dr. Barbara Olson took the stand and began describing the autopsy performed on Cora Clancy, one of Lindsay Clancy’s three children.
“I can’t do this,” Clancy said as she began sobbing.

Clancy is facing first-degree murder charges in the deaths of her three children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.
The 32-year-old killed the children before attempting to take her own life on Jan. 24, 2023.

Clancy has not disputed that she killed her children. Her defense argues, however, that she was experiencing severe postpartum depression caused by being overmedicated with prescription drugs.
According to evidence and testimony presented in court, five doctors prescribed Clancy with the following medication before she killed her three kids:
- Zoloft
- Valium
- Trazodone
- Prozac
- Lamictal
- Seroquel
- Remeron
- Klonopin
- Buspirone
- Ativan
- Amitriptyline
- Ambien
Prosecutors argued in opening statements that Lindsay Clancy “deliberately and meticulously” killed her children and “acted intentionally, rationally, and swiftly to accomplish a very specific goal.” (Greg Derr/Pool/The Patriot Ledger)
Following Clancy’s breakdown, Judge William Sullivan ordered a recess and excused the jury from the courtroom.
Two women could be seen appearing to console Clancy while she was crying inside the courtroom.

Sullivan was also forced to call a break on Wednesday after Clancy began crying while a different medical examiner, Renee Stonebridge, gave testimony about her examination of some body parts of Clancy’s three kids.
