Fugitive Wife in Flip-Flops Seen Walking After Husband’s Murder

New surveillance video appears to show a Massachusetts woman wanted in connection with the killing of her police officer husband walking along a street in flip-flops shortly after his death.

Karen Solomon, 58, remains at large after officers discovered her husband, 57-year-old Kurt Solomon, dead inside the couple’s Worcester home in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

On Thursday, Worcester Police released footage they say shows Solomon outside a veterinary medical facility located about a mile from the Wildwood Avenue residence where the alleged homicide took place.

In the video, Solomon appears to walk with a slight hunch as she passes the animal hospital, briefly turning to look over her left shoulder.

The Ring doorbell footage was captured at approximately 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, about 10 minutes after police found Kurt Solomon dead inside the home.

Worcester Police said investigators are “still actively searching” for Karen Solomon and warned that she is believed to be armed and dangerous. Authorities have not publicly revealed how her husband died.

“We ask the public to remain vigilant and if you see her or can provide any information, please contact the WPD,” the department said.

Kurt Solomon spent 31 years serving as an officer with the Worcester Police Department, leaving his former colleagues to investigate the sudden and troubling circumstances surrounding his death.
