Lynette Hooker’s husband Brian rummages through trash on California streets months after wife’s disappearance

Several months after his wife, Lynette Hooker, vanished, Brian Hooker appears to be going about day-to-day life quietly in Northern California.

Hooker, 58, was seen by News Outlet outside a residence in Citrus Heights, a Sacramento-area community located roughly 15 miles northeast of the state capital.

Lynette, who was originally from Michigan, disappeared in April while she and her husband were vacationing aboard a sailboat in the Bahamas.

The U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service is the lead agency investigating Lynette’s disappearance. Hooker told investigators Lynette fell from a dinghy while the couple was making their way back to their sailboat, Soulmate, that fateful evening.

Four months later, he was seen last weekend walking dogs, taking walks, enjoying a cup of coffee in a garage, and even stopping to sift through neighborhood trash items on the side of the street.

Hooker was snapped wearing a brown hat and khaki shorts while walking two small dogs.

Cameras also captured him sifting through people’s trash on the side of a neighborhood street picking up items and walking away with them.

He was also seen walking out of a store with his Marine Corps tattoo on full display.

When News Outlet asked about the recent sighting of Hooker, Darlene Hamlett, Lynette’s mother, simply said, “I just want the truth to be told and justice for my daughter Lynette.”

News Outlet has reached out to Hooker’s attorney, Matthew Borgula.
