Patrick Clancy says he TALKS to his dead children in first interview

Patrick Clancy says he has sought comfort by speaking to his children following their deaths, in his first emotional interview since his former wife Lindsay’s murder trial ended in a mistrial.

The 38-year-old grieving father described the painful coping mechanism during an interview with 60 Minutes, scheduled for release Sunday. He said he turns to his children as he tries to endure the loss of their lives.

When interviewer Ross Douthat asked what he says to five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan, Clancy replied: “‘Help me’ … all the time.”

Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial ended in a contentious mistrial earlier this month after jurors deadlocked 11-1. One juror reportedly refused to find her not guilty by reason of insanity.

Patrick’s interview follows a wave of disturbing threats and accusations from online true-crime commentators during the trial. Some went so far as to allege, without evidence, that he was involved in the deaths of his children.

After the trial, Patrick warned through his attorney that content creators responsible for the allegations could face “consequences,” promising action over what he described as baseless and cruel claims.

“Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign,” his attorney said in a statement.

The statement accused “minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists” of spreading misinformation to increase their social-media reach and potential profits. It said the allegations that Patrick played a role in the deaths, along with other claims, were knowingly false.

Patrick previously said the “insatiable media coverage” had fueled a “fever pitch” of accusations and scrutiny while he continued to grieve the unimaginable loss of his children.

His attorney said the campaign had produced “real life threats” to Patrick’s reputation, livelihood and safety.

“Patrick has no choice but to address this situation,” the attorney said, adding that the aim was to stop harmful conduct, hold those spreading self-serving lies accountable and allow Patrick to focus on preserving the memories of Cora, Dawson and Callan while supporting women facing perinatal mental-health challenges.

“Enough is enough. This spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop.”

The statement added that those responsible should expect consequences, including possible legal action, and said law enforcement had been notified.

Clancy filed for divorce in February 2024, about a year after Lindsay killed the couple’s three young children by strangling them with exercise bands at their Massachusetts home.

Patrick married again in April and now lives in New York City with his new wife, Rachel Danis.
